ABOUT

Hey there! I'm Charlotte Renae – a passionate singer, dancer, actress, and writer from the Washington, D.C. area. I started my journey in the performing arts at the age of 5, exploring singing, dancing, and acting. Growing up in an arts-driven household, I was exposed to a wide array of visual and performing arts, which has deeply shaped my creative path. With a background in both classical and contemporary voice, I’m fortunate to explore and sing across a diverse range of musical styles in a way that’s both healthy and expressive.

I graduated in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Lyric Theatre from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Music, where I studied under the guidance of Prof. Yvonne Redman and Prof. Sarah Wigley. My time at UIUC was transformative, offering me a space to explore different performance outlets and develop my artistic voice.

As a songwriter, my journey took flight with the release of my debut single, Floating – a lo-fi bedroom pop track that you can now find on all streaming platforms. I’m thrilled to announce that Floating was chosen for the GrammyU Mixtape in April 2025, marking a significant milestone in my journey as an artist.

I’m excited to share that my new song, Make a Move, is dropping this summer! It’s a bluesy, pop track that I can't wait for you to hear.

While the entertainment industry has been a big part of my journey, I’ve spent time figuring out what makes me me. Whether it’s curating playlists for every vibe or getting lost in design inspiration, I love diving into new creative outlets.

I’m an extroverted, easygoing person who values genuine connections. My friends are everything to me, and I’m always ready to host a night in or be there when they need a little extra support.
